This page explains what happens to the information you share with our Woodstock studio, why we keep it, and how you can ask us to change or remove it. Last updated 12 March 2025.
When you book a Saturday bench, request a commission quote or write to us, we receive the name, email address, phone number and message you type into the form. If you order a piece from the studio door, we keep the delivery details needed to send it. Our hosting and analytics tools also record technical data such as browser type, device, approximate region and the pages you open.
We use a small number of cookies to keep the site working and to understand which pages, workshop dates and dye-batch notes people read most. Analytics events are aggregated and are not used to build advertising profiles. You can block or clear cookies in your browser settings at any time; the workshop pages will still load.
Booking details are kept so we can confirm your bench, send preparation notes and reach you if a dye session has to move. Commission enquiries stay on file while we measure, quote per square metre and agree a delivery window. We do not sell your details, and we do not add you to a mailing list unless you ask.
A few service providers process data on our behalf: our website host, our email and form provider, and analytics software. They act on our instructions and are bound by their own confidentiality terms. We share information with authorities only where the law requires it.
You can ask to see the information we hold about you, have it corrected, request a portable copy, or have it deleted. You may also withdraw consent for analytics at any time. Visitors in the EU and California have additional rights under GDPR and CCPA, and we honour those requests regardless of where you live. Write to us and we will respond within thirty days.
Booking records are deleted once a session has run and any follow-up questions are answered; commission files are kept for as long as the working relationship lasts. We describe our dyes, cords and workshop content as they are, and we do not publish invented reviews, borrowed brand names or claims of affiliation we cannot support. If any statement on this site looks unclear or out of date, tell us and we will correct it.
